Flow Like Honey
Limited Capacity full
Adding this to your schedule will put you on the waitlist.

This is perfectly sticky-sweet vinyasa yoga class, with emphasis on thoughtful movement and body awareness.

The class will start with a short meditation to set intention for your time, and then slowly begging intergrating a thoughtful sequence of movements to open and strengthen the body.

The class will evolve from basic gentle movements into stronger, more dynamic flows. By the end of class you will feel like a puddle of delicious, warm honey, and you will flow from a guided meditation in to a restful savasana.

This is an on-the-land class. Attendees will travel with their instructor and a guide - Suzi Minor of Aumbase Sedona - to Baby Bell Trail.

Through the confluence of vinyasa flow and myth, we will be exploring the advice of Sage Vashishta. In counseling a young Lord Ram, Vashistha extolls the power of setting intentions, aspiring to embody virtues which help further our passions, and developing the will to become what we most admire. The class will incorporate a fluid blend of hip-openers, backbends and forward bends, as well as mantra and meditation. All levels are welcome.

Bending Backward: Explore, Grow, and Expand!
Limited Capacity full
Adding this to your schedule will put you on the waitlist.

Philosophically, backbends are associated with a movement into the unknown, into our future. This workshop will give participants the tools they need to go deeper in their bodies, and in their lives, into unknown terrains and realms. Move deeper into intermediate and advanced backbends by learning appropriate body mechanics to safely explore the edges of our practice. We all have our limits; but it is important to test and ask why we set parameters on our own exploration, growth, and expansion. Backbends are some of the most beautiful yoga postures; but also some of the more complicated and difficult ones. This workshop will warm students up for these deep postures, and provide them with proper alignment tools to move safely into back bending asanas. This will be a mixed level workshop where students will be given the chance to move into more advanced postures as they are ready.

This is an on the land experience. Participants will travel with instructor, and be guided by Aumbase Sedona Coconino Nat'l FS permitted guide Carrie Khonya to Chapel Trail. Meet in lobby for shuttle.
