If you want to be happy, practice compassion. - Dalai Lama Compassion is the natural state of the heart/mind, which takes action motivated by cherishing other living beings and by a heart felt desire to release them from their suffering. The Loving Kindness Meditation is a simple, heart-centered meditation technique with roots in Buddhism, sometimes called Metta. It’s practiced around the world to cultivate compassion for one’s self and others. And research shows that it indeed works. It creates more empathy and emotional intelligence. It also increases love, joy, contentment, gratitude, hope, interest, amusement, and awe. - Decreased migraine pain - Decreased chronic low back pain - Decreased PTSD symptoms among veterans - Reduced depression - Decreased schizophrenia-spectrum disorders, and - May even slow markers of aging! Loving Kindness Meditation can improve our connection with ourselves and others. And you don’t need to meditate for long periods to experience results. Anyone can do it, anywhere. Whether you are on your meditation pillow or are sitting in traffic. Changes can happen in a short amount of time, a 10 minute session can create positive changes.

This a very powerful class that leads us into our heart space and carries it out into a deep, connected experience with one another. This Meditation is based in Sattva Yoga which is a holistic, dynamic, all inclusive, expansive and ever-evolving practice that combines asana, pranayama, meditation, kriya and wisdom. The intention for Sattva Yoga is to give you a journey beyond the time bound self/ego and enter the space of transcendence.

You will be gently guided through a loving-kindness metta practice with binaural beat music to experience tangible inner peace and love.
