Dance Journey: Body Love
Limited Capacity seats available

Discover the genius of intuition. Purge the shadow side of the ‘perfect practice' – where strict focus on being ‘right' blinds us to our innate brilliance. When we concentrate solely on the prescribed placement of an asana, we risk ignoring our natural impulses, and consequently separate ourselves from our deepest wisdom. This wisdom – what vedic scholars named the Vijnanmaya Kosha – is the source of our most loving inner guidance, and a gateway to the transcended Self. This workshop is an active invitation for the core wisdom of our bodies to come alive. Whether it is the impulse to move a finger, or the drive to shake our bones, our unique and instinctive movement is honored as the best guide to connecting to our highest consciousness. Through the transformative power of authentic movement and dance, we will explore the Body's innate guidance to wholeness and peace. With breath, deep listening, and soulful music, we will practice becoming deeply interested in the Now, and the what is. We will create a safe space to feel, and discover how the Vijnanamaya responds, evolves and creates healing. We will delight in this 'spiritual immune system' – and in doing, trace our true nature in its constant, spiraling flow to the center - to our Selves, and into the heart of yoga.

Loving Yourself & Others
Limited Capacity seats available

If you want others to be happy, practice compassion. If you want to be happy, practice compassion. - Dalai Lama Compassion is the natural state of the heart/mind, which takes action motivated by cherishing other living beings and by a heart felt desire to release them from their suffering. The Loving Kindness Meditation is a simple, heart-centered meditation technique with roots in Buddhism, sometimes called Metta. It’s practiced around the world to cultivate compassion for one’s self and others. And research shows that it indeed works. It creates more empathy and emotional intelligence. It also increases love, joy, contentment, gratitude, hope, interest, amusement, and awe. - Decreased migraine pain - Decreased chronic low back pain - Decreased PTSD symptoms among veterans - Reduced depression - Decreased schizophrenia-spectrum disorders, and - May even slow markers of aging! Loving Kindness Meditation can improve our connection with ourselves and others. And you don’t need to meditate for long periods to experience results. Anyone can do it, anywhere. Whether you are on your meditation pillow or are sitting in traffic. Changes can happen in a short amount of time, a 10 minute session can create positive changes.

Deep Relax
Limited Capacity filling up

Taught by Danielle and created by Sri Dharma Mittra, our guided restorative session to help you break free from the stress of the noisy and restless world that maintains its presence in our bodies and minds at all times. This practice will allow you to take the time to let all the cells of your physical body, joints and organs de-stress and begin to find balance. This result occurs on an unconscious level as your bodily systems become healthy, balanced and refreshed. You will then be ready to sit quietly for the final minutes in the practice of contemplative meditation, to bring your awareness even further within and guide you toward the Real Self deep in your heart. From this place, it will be easy for you to acknowledge, see and feel the unity in the diversity, the sameness of all. You will slowly realize all is within and we are all one as Sri Dharma often says. Each session includes different special practices and lectures. Danielle has studied 1800 hours with Sri Dharma and is a registered 800 hour teacher with his school.

Celebrating the Phases of the Moon: For Women Only
Limited Capacity full
Adding this to your schedule will put you on the waitlist.

Women are tied so intimately to the Mother Moon and her phases. Through awareness, we can begin to see that the phases of the moon have great impact on our lives. This will be part of a topic for discussion to be followed by a lovely flowing practice to honor the moon. Even though Sun Salutations (Surya Namaskar) have been around for a long time, the Moon Salutations (Chandra Namaskar) are relatively new to the yoga world, about 1960s. While Sun Salutations trigger fire and passion, the Moon Salutations help to cool the body and replenish energy. In this class, several popular versions will be explored as well as some gentle dance movements, to be followed by a Moon Meditation.

SUNRISE YOGA Himalayan School of Yoga traditional Hatha Yoga Class
Limited Capacity seats available

With a holistic approach combining asanas, pranayama, chanting, meditation and effective guidance about diet, Himalayan School of Traditional Yoga’s programs are designed to bring knowledge and direct experience of peace and health to its sincere practitioners. HSTY remains loyal to the original teachings of Yoga, as it existed eons ago. At its core, HSTY is all about simplicity and about being natural. A yogi is natural, i.e. a state where the body, mind and soul are in unison. This leads to health and equanimity, a state where we are happy and without anxieties, anger or stress. We do not look at Yoga as exercise, rather as a set of practices that help take one back to his/her original state.

Accordingly, the sessions would broadly include:

  • Light Yogic exercises that are effective warm up exercises to prepare the body for more demanding Yogic postures. Light yogic exercises  also cleanse the meridians in the subtle body
  • Selected Yoga postures (asanas) and Pranayama, with insights about nadis (meridians) and chakras and effective cleansing of the same
  • Sun Salutations (surya namaskar)
  • Yoga Nidra with mantra chanting (aimed at activating centres in the cortex of the brain  for effective relaxation and soaking in the effects of entire Yoga practice)

Traditional yoga is easy for people to adopt into their daily lives and benefit from the practice. Systematic practice of traditional yoga helps people activate the witnessing state of mind, live in gratitude and surrender and obtain relief from physical, mental or psychosomatic illnesses.

Gong: The Sound Healing Way
Limited Capacity seats available

Gong: The Sound Healing Way
Relax, Reset, Feel, Be and Belong. Join me in a Sound Journey that detoxes, awakens and rejuvenates the body. Our bodies crave sound to bring natural order to our system. It is a different world today. In today's society we are infused with digital music, (sounds created by numbers) cell phone/ TV waves, noise that is unnatural, emotions which are not ours, even electricity currents that entrain our bodies to 60 hz., We can NOT choose what comes into our bodies, and we can’t rid them with our minds. So we use vibration to naturally restore the body, cells, heart, lungs etc. to it’s natural vibration. What does not belong comes up to get out. Gongs are the most powerful Sound Healing instrument because they creates so many nutrients, through vibrations, overtones, frequencies that the body can pick and choose what is needed for it’s healing This is not about “Thinking and Doing” but “Feeling and Being” an unfamiliar state in our busy lives, but so important for our health and well being.

The way Gongster plays the Gongs is a yoga nidra style. Like a wave that peaks (buiding sounds) and descends (releasing sounds). Theta waves (relaxed yet awake) will enable the brain to entrain to a more peaceful brain state. awww… Meditation made easily and effortlessly.

Gongster's Sound treatment is a personal journey that touches the delicate Strings of our soul. Awakens spanless creative powers in us; changes us, our lives and the lives of people around us When we are in harmony, our health returns, our light shines, we become centered, & awake Raising our consciousness here on earth and dimensions beyond. Gongster is NOT about a ”physical" practice and there is no crashing or banging of the gongs. All you need is a mat, blanket, and comfortable clothing.

Benefits of a Sound Session:
  • Sound hydrates the tissue
  • Sound helps the body stay more liquid.
  • Improved overall alignment.
  • Sound speaks directly to the innate intelligence of the person.
  • Sound compliments and enhances other mind body therapies.
  • Sound improves circulation and oxygenation.
  • Sound helps dissolve historically held memories in tissue.
  • A deeper rest and relaxation is obtained.
  • A balancing of the electro-magnetic field.
  • Pain is often released.
