This experience will enhance participants' knowledge and practice in the application and integration of several eastern-based wisdom traditions and evidence-based western recovery practices. A healing session will be offered, focusing on the practical application of various yoga for recovery techniques promoting optimal health and well-being: I. Yamas and Niyamas; II. Asana; III. Pranayama (breathing techniques); IV. 12 Steps,Traditions and Principals; V. Recovery Philosophy - Yoga Sutras; VI. Mudras (gestures); VII. Bandhas (locks); VIII. Mindfulness/Meditation Practices; IX. Ayurveda; X. Chakra Toning; XI. Finding Stillness (withdrawal ofthe senses); XII. Sangha. The asana sequence purifies, strengthens, and adds flexibility to the body, mind and spirit. Breath supports the flow as a vehicle to balance energy. This guided class will help participants strengthen the mind/body connection, experience positive body awareness, and feel aligned, deeply connected, and heart-centered.
