This class is tailored to the anatomy geeks, as well as to the curious practitioners. There's a big difference between knowing what something is and knowing how it feels. Mike teaches to the feeling component of Anatomy, making AnatomySense. We will go deeply into the psoas, the sacred muscle. You'll not only learn about its form and function, but also how to connect with the psoas through palpation and movement. Through this lecture/practice, you'll experience the psoas, so it becomes more than just an interesting concept. You'll also learn ways of assessing the psoas, and understanding its relationship to lower back pain and hip function. You'll come away knowing the psoas inside and out, not just because you read about it or heard it in a lecture, but because you had a felt experience.
