Recognizing the differences between: compassion satisfaction, compassion fatigue, burn-out, and secondary trauma. Learn the basics of mindfulness and practice mindfulness techniques. Discussion and clarity on what this catchy buzz-word really means. Being present in the moment through breath connection no matter the complexity of the task before you. The purpose of pranayama and meditation is to bring a one pointed focus, the breath, which is the barometer for understanding your mental state. We will be discussing all 11 senses, both the active and cognitive. How we give and receive information and how that affects your body physiological response to stress. Understanding these concepts is 99% practice and 1% theory. These practices are gentle and pacifying to help calm the nervous system to prepare the body to be still and build resiliency.
